From the Palace of Nestor to the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki and from the Archaeological site of Mantineia to the St. Ursuline Monastery of Tinos, the third week of 2024 brings the rich program of the Ministry of Culture “All Greece is one culture”. Eight separate events until July 21.
With the concept of conflict as a central theme, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy new music and theater productions, musical theater productions, art/performance, dance and educational programs at unique archaeological sites, monuments and museums in Arcadia, Corfu, Pylos, Arcadia, Corfu and Pylos. The program of the third week includes the following events:
- On July 16, the Mantineia Archaeological Site presents the musical theater show “In the Labyrinth: Testimonies and Poems of Imprisoned Women” created and musically curated by Antigonis Stappas.
- On July 16 and 17, the theater-musical performance “This is how it began”, based on the first part of the novel “Journey to the Edge of Night” by Louis-Ferdinand Céline, comes to the Old Castle. Corfu.
- On July 18th and 19th, a new hot dark matter dance choreographed by Zoe Efstathiou will be presented at the Nestora Palace, while the exhibition/performance “The River / Voicing Water” by Christina Nakou and Anna Pangalos will be shown. Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.
- On July 19 and 20, the premiere of the musical theater play “Sasma’s sea or reverse dance” written and directed by Konstantinos Markellos will take place at the Ancient Gypsy Theater.
- Finally, on July 20 and 21, the musical theater performance “Artificial Trust” with the music of Orestis Papaioannou and the concept, dramaturgy, libretto of Alekos Luntzis will be presented at the Ancient Pleuronas Theater and at the group exhibition “+THLIPSIS”. St. Ursuline Monastery of Tinos, the “Otherlands” exhibition concludes with two live sound performances by Jeff Wager and Savina Giannatou at the Heraion Perachora Archaeological Site.
