Photovoltaics goes live in Brescia. The eighth edition of the “Photovoltaic Barometer” by the Varese company Elmec Solar, which deals with the installation and maintenance of the panels, produced numbers that exceeded expectations. In fact, in March 2024, 1,684,316 systems were installed in Italy, which is 27% more than the previous year (+360,198).
Together with Rome and Padua, Brescia is on the podium: our province quadrupled the systems in 2023 with +325%. In absolute numbers, 12,552 new systems were installed in Brescia. Only the capital recorded higher figures, five times the result of 2023 (15,435 systems, +485%), while Padua stood still with 11,363 systems, +365% in 2023.
“The results obtained in the last year show that Italy has made significant progress in the energy transition, especially in the adoption of photovoltaics” – commented Alessandro Villa, CEO of Elmec Solar – Italians have realized that even without the 110% bonus, solar energy offers significant economic savings is an investment that offers and guarantees independence from the fluctuation of electricity prices.
