The children of his Day Camps Patreon Municipality They’ve started building their floats for the 2025 Patronus Carnival!
As reported by Patreon Municipality: “This is the first float of Carnival Workshop in terms of the next Carnival based on the idea of the maker. Dimitris Tzoumani. The float is created exclusively by the children of the camps in a specially designed space in the Carnival Workshop, where they learn and practice the basic techniques of float construction: carving, drawing and painting.
The campaign aims to bring urban children into direct, hands-on contact with special cart-making techniques. Through this process, it seeks to pass on the quality carnival characteristics of imagination, participation and creativity to new generations of Patrinas.
In addition, cultural sensitivity is developed and skills are developed in relation to our Carnival. In this way, the preservation of the institution is strengthened and at the same time its creative development is stimulated.
The instructors are the creators of the Carnival Workshop: Dimitris Djoumanis (engraving), Christina Koufaki (engraving, mapping), George Babilis (picture). Christina Koufaki, the coordinator of the action, and the person responsible for the Carnival Workshop, Mr Nikos Livanis.
