The EMY has issued a new emergency bulletin for worsening weather, warning of severe weather over the next few hours and into Thursday. The heat wave is followed by heavy rains and thunderstorms that will affect most parts of the country.

Showers and thunderstorms accompanied by local hail and temporary very strong winds (gallon) will be noted:
A. Today, Wednesday (24-07-2024) in the afternoon – evening in Western Macedonia, Central Macedonia (including Thessaloniki Prefecture) and Thessaly.
B. Tomorrow Thursday (25-07-2024)
1. from early morning to late afternoon, in central Macedonia (including Thessaloniki prefecture) and eastern Macedonia (including Thassos)
2. from afternoon to evening in Thrace (temporarily including Samothrace)
3. from morning to afternoon temporarily in the Sporades region – northern Evia.
