As every year, this year the Folk Dance Festival takes on a pan-Hellenic character, as it manages to present more than 25 dance performances accompanied by at least 500 dancers from all over Greece and a folk orchestra. More than 6,000 people watch the event.
The organizers of the festival are the Cultural Association of Patras with the Souli Dance Department, who have proved that they have gone to the roots of culture by enriching the villages with the identity of Greek culture and reminding us that our tradition is not “suitable” for commerce. but don’t show groups just for exposure.
