Italian creator Marco Amentahe Marco Morriconeson of leading music composer Ennio Morricone, director Pericles Hoursoglouactors as well Alexander Logothetis and Ethalia Papacosta is preparing to host the 3rd Kymatas International Film Festival with other artists. The four-day tribute introduces the Greek public Marco Amenta with the presentation of two films MarcoMorricone On the occasion of the screening of the documentary “Ennio” about the life and work of Giuseppe Tornatore’s legendary father, Ennio Morriconeas well as a number of rare documentary shorts from the 1950s VittorioofSeth about customs and daily life in Sicily and Sardinia in the post-war years.
During the tribute, alongside Marco Amenta and Marco Morricone, filmmakers will have the opportunity to chat with the director and screenwriter. Avra Georgiouspeaker in his films Arrowhe will also give a lecture on setting up and making a documentary film. “KYMATA” Film Festival started in 2022 and is the only film festival in Ionia. The production of the festival was organized by the Environment and Culture Association of Kefalonia in cooperation with the Region of the Ionian Islands and the Municipality of Argostoli. It is financed by the Ministry of Culture and cooperates with EKOME. This year’s festival is attended by AMANTES COINSEP, ANAKARA Association, Greek Film Center, Ionian University, Momus – Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, Geneva Library, gr2me productioncinemas and the Italian Consulate in Kefalonia.
